The "China Platform" Second Academic Forum of Ghent University, jointly organized by Ghent University in Belgium, together with 17 Chinese institutions including Tongji University, Tianjin University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, etc., was held virtually through Zoom from October 19 to 21, 2022. Hefei University of Technology's School of Mathematics and the International Affairs Office jointly organized and hosted one of its sub-forums: the Second Analysis Seminar of Ghent University - Hefei University of Technology. On the afternoon of October 19, H.E. Dr. Jan Hoogmartens, the Belgian Ambassador to China, Rik Van de Walle, the President of Ghent University, and Yihong Ji, the Vice President of Hefei University of Technology, conveyed their blessings and greetings for the conference via video.

The seminar spanned three days and covered topics including "Functional Analysis," "Analytic Number Theory," "Partial Differential Operators and Equations," "Harmonic Analysis, Time-Frequency Analysis, and Function Spaces," among others. Scholars and experts from Ghent University (Belgium), Cornell University (USA), Baylor University (USA), Louisiana State University (USA), University of Trier (Germany), Free University of Brussels (Belgium), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Hefei University of Technology delivered 13 fascinating academic presentations. Over 30 representatives from both domestic and international experts in the field of analysis participated in the seminar, engaging in in-depth discussions and exchanges.

Through the joint efforts of all parties, the conference was a complete success. It effectively enhanced the university's international reputation, promoted exchanges and cooperation between the university and world-class institutions in the field of analysis, and laid a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation between the two sides.
