Zhou Yu was graduated from the School of Mathematics at Hefei University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Information and Computational Science in 2004. He currently holds the position of a professor in the Faculty of Economics and Management at East China Normal University and serves as the Vice Director of the Faculty of Economics and Management. He also holds important roles in various academic organizations, including Vice Secretary-General of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Executive Council Member of the National Society for Industrial Statistics Education, and Director of the China Society for Probability and Statistics. Yu has received prestigious recognitions, including being acknowledged as a Young Talent in Shanghai, a Distinguished Professor in Shanghai (Eastern Scholar), and a participant in the Shanghai Young Scientist Technology Star Program. In 2019, he was honored with the Shanghai Natural Science Award (as the second contributor) and received the Second Prize in the 10th National Statistical Scientific Research Achievement Award (Doctoral Thesis Category).
