On the morning of April 7, 2023, Rongping Sun, the Party Secretary, and Zhaobing Fan, the Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Harbin Engineering University, along with a delegation, came to our school for research and exchange. The meeting was attended by Professor Shixin Zhu, a national-level distinguished teacher at our university, and all members of the leadership team from the School of Mathematics.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in discussions on various topics, including the integration of party building with academic activities, the reform of mathematics public courses under the background of new engineering disciplines, improving the quality of graduate education, talent recruitment, the development of young faculty, and strengthening the integration of science and engineering. Professor Zhu Shixin shared his insights on issues related to the development of teaching materials for mathematics public courses under the context of new engineering disciplines, the establishment of first-class courses, and how to enhance the academic and research capabilities of teachers. Both parties also discussed and expressed their expectations and visions for maintaining close contact, strengthening cooperation, and working together for mutual development in the future.
